Nice try Alina! You’re quite right about the enzyme drawings of Benera & Estefan, but the blackboards and light boxes we made completely in Edinburgh. The objects from Balkin’s Archive are being collected here in Edinburgh - but true, they will have to be shopped back to LA next year. So now it’s 5 things!

I also want to congratulate all the speakers for the combination of important comments and beautiful work. My question is to Kelly Kivland but to everyone as well, and that is the relation of the political of the EVENT to the ongoing political questions such as the anthropogene. The event I have in mind is the avalanche of BLM as combined with the Palestinian question. The work you show, about breathing, etc. engages the event directly. How does this affect the sustainability of the work itself?

Great presentations, thank you, great food for thought!My question comes from a curatorial point of enquiry and revolves around curatorial devices that would supplement the criticality of the works that both Tessa and Kelly have presented, which are indeed much needed in confronting the contemporary predicament on so many levels. How do the curators here see the possibility to potentiate subjective change in the viewer that would later lead to a more socially/environmentally/politically engaged subject, which treats things with the seriousness that the criticality of the presented art implies?(sorry I might have been reading too much Ranciere lately!)
